Hi! I’m Miquel.
In an age of eternal distraction and consumption, there are yet bastions of resistance. Books and stories reveal our human emotions, our deepest fears, our true desires; these are what we so desperately try to bury under the modern, busy way of life.
All my novels are born out of my innate desire to create. Stories are, and always will be, what makes us human. An extension of myself, quite like any other art form — to express my thoughts and affections, to extend an invitation from my soul to yours.
Join me in this journey, and let us share a bond that can only be achieved through the wonderfully intimate world of storytelling.
Science fiction has always been the genre that has enthralled me the most. I’ve grown up reading Foundation, Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, The Martian Chronicles, I, Robot, 1984, Never Let Me Go, I Am Legend, The Bicentennial Man, Dune, and many more.
I am also deeply drawn to the Classics, such as Crime and Punishment, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Moby Dick, and others.
I’d like to reiterate how much I care about stories, especially on a deeper, personal level. When I read, or watch, or listen, I want to feel. I want to feel through the characters’ internal rumblings. I want to understand them. I want to, even for just a moment, be them. I want to feel alive.
